1963 -2023

Sixty Years of Passion, Tradition, Evolution

Emma Srl is a family-run furniture company, which over time has stood out for the high quality of its creations. Founded in 1963, today it carries on its business maintaining the high standards and the artisanal nature that have always characterized it, while introducing important technological innovations at the same time.

1963

Foundation year

The company was founded by the two brothers Emma, ​​Giuseppe and Ernestino, the latter already a teacher of upholstery at the Meda school. The initial project of the founders involved the production of upholstered furniture and the creation of living rooms for private individuals and commercial activities. Initially, the company had its own collection and only sporadically made custom products.

1988

Second generation

In 1988, the second generation of entrepreneurs joined the company and continued the work started, focusing more on custom production intended for foreign markets, specifically the Arab market, with the construction of luxury villas.

1995

Contract

With the decline in production for the Arab market, the company’s core business shifts to the contract sector, starting to combine the production of furniture and furnishing accessories with the production of upholstered furniture.

2000

Evolution

30% of the company’s production is focused on making furniture. During this period, the redevelopment of the main office and the ‘expansion of the company in terms of production and workforce began, which gave Emma the ability to take on the role of General Contractor in Hospitality projects.

2013

Expansion

Emma has acquired 4000 m2 of warehouse where to store the goods produced and restore the archive of shafts and fabrics so as to expand the range of services offered to the customer.

2018

Contract

As a result of the ‘further increase in production related to the furniture sector Emma acquired a joinery, moving it within a new 3000 m2 space adjacent to the warehouse so that it could design and implement all wood-related production in complete autonomy.

2019

Development

In 2019, another 1000 m2 of office building was acquired, thus bringing together the production part, the warehouse and the contract department in a single industrial hub.
